Vehicle Description
1962 Ford Fairlane
Why This Car Is Special
For 1962, the Fairlane name was given to a new intermediate model
and that is what the 1962 Ford Fairlane we have here at Skyway
Classics.
Mechanical
Under the hood sits the 260 cubic inch engine rated at 164
horsepower. The engine bay looks period correct and restored with
the belts, wires, and hoses, correct orange painted air cleaner and
valve covers, and looks as it did when it was new.
The single exhaust has a nice exhaust note as you cruise down the
road with the transmission powering the blackwall tires on blue
painted steel tires.
Our Fairlane has a unibody frame with a conventional short-long arm
independent arrangement in front, with Hotchkiss drive in the
rear.
Interior
Our Fairlane has a completely restored like new blue vinyl bench
seat interior and ours retains it in blue vinyl door panels, a
beautiful blue dash with factory correct gauges in the
engine-turned dash, and the blue factory steering wheel and blue
carpet.
Exterior
Our 1962 has great blue paint and the chrome is good as is the
grille and the trim. The body and paint looks as new with all the
body lines looking good. It has great visual appeal with the paint
color combo of blue with a blue interior.
Our Fairlane 500 trim models had more decorative trim, such as a
wider chrome stripe down the side and three bullets on the rear
quarter panels and was a more expensive version of the regular
Fairlane.
Conclusion
The 1962 Ford Fairlane we have here at Skyway Classics is a hard to
find example of the 60's automotive upscale sedan from Ford and
ours will do it in a great style. Come see it today.
