The BMW 6-series has a long history of luxury grand tourer coupes tracing back to 1968 and the BMW 2800 CS and the E9 platform. A legendary car in its own right, the 2800 CS (and later 3.0 CSL) paved the way for the first true BMW 6-series: the E24. From there, the 6-series gained popularity as enthusiasts realized its performance prowess. Both on and off the race track the M635CSi, and M6 variants were creating a class of their own. BMW had created a worthy successor to the legendary 3.0 CSL, but after 1989 the 6-series monicker was mothballed. It wasn't until 2003 that BMW reintroduced the 6-series with the E63 chassis. The new car was based on the 5-series chassis and shared many of its underpinnings, but the design was pure BMW 6-series. The large sports coupe became one of the most instantly recognizable German coupes on the road. This gorgeous 650i features a 362 horsepower 4.8L V8 engine, sending power through a 6-speed manually shiftable automatic transmission. With only 13,328 original miles, the Mineral Silver Metallic paint and two-tone black and Cream Beige Dakota Leather interior look like new. The performance of a 650i leaves nothing to be desired, with explosive acceleration and smooth, responsive handling. This is a one-owner car that has been meticulously cared for and driven sparingly throughout its life, and it is now ready for a new driver.
