Vehicle Description
This custom 1959 Corvette topless roadster was a Top 10 Finalist
for Street Machine of the Year at Goodguys Columbus 2011 and was
the cover car with a full feature in 'Vette magazine's August 2014
issue. Built from 100% new parts, starting with a custom Art
Morrison chassis and Downs body. Exterior modifications include
blue carbon-fiber inlays in coves, molded headlight buckets,
closed-out eyebrows and custom C6 decklid. This is a true roadster
with no top or side windows. The custom windshield was cut down and
laid back with hand-formed custom A-pillars, and it also features a
molded recessed license plate, custom exhaust tips molded to body
shape, molded LED driving lights with turn signals, custom CNC rear
bumpers, custom hood and trunk hinges, and blue powder-coated C6
calipers. It rides on Forgeline ZX3s with 275/35/18 front and
325/30/19 rear tires. A custom LS3 376ci V8 engine with forged
internals and tuned on a chassis dyno. The engine is paired with a
TREMEC 6-speed manual transmission featuring a Ford 9-inch rear end
with Strange 3.73 gears and axles. The custom interior took six
months to complete. Interior mods include matching blue
carbon-fiber inlays in the center console and doors, custom
aluminum trim in doors, custom-shaped Corbeau seats, shaved door
handles, keyless push-button start, custom color-matched four-point
harness, custom Alpine stereo with two sets of 6.5-inch speakers in
doors, Audison LRx 1530-watt amp, 10-inch Focal subs in a
custom-tuned enclosure. Flawless Bentley Meteor Blue paint. No
expense was spared in creating this one-of-a kind street machine.
