This 1985 Bremen Sebring is a true exotic, right down to the way
you enter this slick coupe. So it's amazing something this distinct
can also be so affordable.
The Sterling project produced complete kits to turn everyday
Beetles into a something truly exotic. And the Sebring project
furthered that attitude while making the cars more comfortable. The
transformation is so extensive that there isn't anything from its
VW roots still visible on the exterior. Instead, you have a low
front end, pop up headlights, and a serious sleek look. Plus, there
are more recent upgrades, like the LED taillights and race-inspired
rear spoiler. In total, the appeal of this car is black and white:
literally. The white fiberglass body in a single-piece casting, and
so it will always look this smooth. And it also makes all the black
accents exceptionally distinctive. But the real reason people will
flock to see this one happens the moment you get out.
These are famous for the single-piece windshield, roof, and sides
that all lift up to make the Sebring look like a million-dollar
supercar. Plus, this one has been upgraded with a key fob to use
with the electric actuator hinges. So yes, you can take a big step
back and still button up this sleek machine with pride. And there's
more than just the door that make this a cool sports car. You have
high-back bucket seats borrowed from a Porsche 914, crisp Equus
gauges in a carbon fiber-like panel, a grippy sports steering
wheel, and an EMPI shifter. You even have a modern AM/FM/CD
stereo.
Even the engine bay has an upgraded look for some exotic polish and
flair. But this is also instantly recognizable as a hardy VW
four-cylinder. So you can look like a million-dollar car, but
maintenance is still shade tree easy. In fact, you do get extra
performance over a Bug thanks to a larger 1835cc motor and a twin
set of dual-barrel carbs. And the four-speed manual transmission
allows you to take full control of the VW's famously robust
powerhouse. There even more great driving upgrades, like front disc
brakes and modern Kumho sport tires.
The sale comes with build receipts and original promotional
materials. This level of cool attention is rarely so affordable.
Don't let this one slip away, call today!
