Car was originally sold by Jarrett-Chewning Motor Co.,  Roanoke, Virginia to Mr. Hutts on 20 March 1951. Continuously registered and driven up to the late 1980’s until placed in storage around 1988 at 24,536 miles. Owned by Ronnie L. Garvey, Troutville, Virginia from July 1984 until January 2006. Later sold to a SDC members Bob & Ann Riddle, Staunton, Virginia in January 2006 who sold to David Welsford, in Greensboro, NC in March 2019. Until this time the car had remained within a 100 radius of original purchase. From the last VA inspection slip in 1987, you can see that car was only driven around 5,600 miles when I purchased it. I have few state inspection slips indicating date and miles.  First one was on 19 March 1951 at 00005 miles and last dated 24 March 1987 at 24,428 miles. I may have missed a day or two but above tells most of the story.  I have enclosed many pictures which also help to tell the story. Please look at all pictures.

Now for some bits and pieces:  New spare in trunk along with original jack… car cover… All obsolete Allstate tires in excellent condition… there are no scratches, body has no dings or other marks… Original paint remains untouched on the doorjambs, in the engine bay and in the trunk as factory paint.

In 2009 the body was sprayed in a superb base coat-clear coat; undersides of hood and trunk were sprayed in a single-stage coat using identical mix code. No signs of accidents or damage. Original headliner, door panels, kick panels, carpeting, rear shelf and all seating surfaces. Custom clear vinyl covers.  Paint is beautiful… Clock runs little slow – needs adjusting… Rust free.
