1968 Chevelle SS 396 This is the real deal not a clone The 1968
Chevrolet Chevelle SS 396 was as close to an Everyman's muscle car
as Detroit would ever get. Reliable and affordable, the design
cycle kicked off by the '68 version would outsell every other true
high-performance machine of the day, and beat its fair share, to
boot. The 396 beast put out a solid 325 HP and combined with a 4
speed it was a tough to beat combination. Options on our vehicle
includes bucket seats, center console with Hurst shifter, , radio..
It rides on an F40 heavy-duty front and rear suspension, with power
steering and Wilwood power disc brakes. The car has beautiful
original Rally wheels. This specific Chevelle left the factory as a
396 CID car so its badges are true to its roots. Under the hood of
this Chevelle rests a 1968 built 396 CID Big Block V8 which is for
the most part in its original format. Headers have been added and
some chrome trim also added. Translating all of this power to the
pavement is a RICHMOND 4-speed manual transmission that makes for
an incredibly fun ride and does an amazing job of putting the power
down. The whole engine compartment has been freshly detailed and
looks as clean as when it left the showroom back in 1968. This
Chevelle sports a very shiny red coat that makes this beast stand
out from the rest. Trunk compartment is All clean metal with a
clean gray and white spatter finish paint. This Chevelle was born a
factory Air Conditioned Car... If you wanted to,,, re-install the
underhood components and there you have it! Factory A/C! These cars
typically go through many changes and upgrades throughout their
life, this particular one was born in March of 1968 in Kansas and
somehow ended up here in Upstate NY many moons later. Very solid
car with minimal work done over the years. Air bags and coil overs
