Vehicle Description
HIGHLIGHTS: One family owned! The story goes that this car has been
in the same family since new. It left the factory originally as a
black on black olds cutlass when the grandfather of the current
owner purchased it new. Only changing hands 1 time after the
unfortunate passing of his grandfather, today this Cutlass features
a cool custom paint job, a killer aftermarket sound system, and a
set of 20" wheels.
BODY OVERVIEW: The body is remarkably clean and straight, with all
of the emblems and trim in place and in fair condition. Most of
these items are showing some age, but should clean up well.
True mileage is unknown, as it is nearly impossible to prove on
cars with 5-digit odometers, but the story goes that the 71,000
mile odometer reading is accurate.
PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: Given the body condition, we can believe
that the mileage claim is accurate. The newer custom paint job was
laid down on a straight body, and really gives this car a unique
look. This is not a "show quality" paint job, but it was done well
and looks great!
INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: The interior condition also caters to
the mileage claim, as many items known to deteriorate are still in
good condition. The front seats are separating at the seams due to
age, but the back seat is in fantastic condition.
While the interior could use a little love, it is far from needing
to be fully replaced.
MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood sits what appears to be the
original 260 cubic inch Oldsmobile V8. Aesthetically, the engine
bay could use some work, but this car fires up and runs very well.
It drives nicely, and rides smoothly. It could use some "freshening
up," as it has been in storage for the last couple of years, but
this car is turn-key as it sits.
WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: The cool custom paint job, the
aftermarket wheels, and the aftermarket sound system!
WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: If big wheels and custom paint
jobs aren't your thing, this may not be the car for you.
DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? At the moment, the only thing it truly needs
is a new set of tires. The current tires are out of date and
showing some cracking.
WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Anyone looking for a mild
custom car that won't blend into the crowd. Whether the big wheels
do it for you or not, this would be an excellent candidate to enjoy
as is or take to the next level.
