Vehicle Description
Sometimes the best vintage muscle car is really a truck. This
freshly restored 1972 Chevrolet C10 has the right look, custom A/C
interior, upgraded suspension (w/four-wheel disc brakes), and
fuel-injected performance V8 to deliver a head-turning and powerful
total package.
Two-tone has always been a distinctive style on vintage pickups.
But this one takes it up a notch. With barely 60 miles on this
since completing a frame-off restoration, the blue is a modern
clearcoat with plenty of metallic element to really radiates in the
sunshine. And the white center section has just as much luster. As
a premium Cheyenne-level truck it comes with some nice extra body
trim. This includes the full length upper and lower body side
accents that expertly separate the two colors. Not only does this
make the truck look well-organized, but its wood-like appearance
also gets you ready for all the real glossy lumber in the truck
bed. But you'll love this for more than just the classic style. The
billet grille, mirror-like bumper, and upgraded headlights with LED
element mean this one puts a modern face forward. And the 18-inch
Coys alloys go with this shining package while announcing this is a
thoroughly upgraded machine.
Inside is a fresh custom setup for performance and comfort. It
starts with the houndstooth cloth inserts in the seats. These are a
legend in classic muscle car circles. But the experience here is
quite modern thanks to comfy upgrades like the plush TMI door
panels and a removable cup holder center console. There are more
thoughtful upgrades, like cold-blowing air conditioning, power
windows, and Hushmat insulation. The Chevy three-spoke sports
steering wheel is on a Flaming River tilt column (power steering),
and so that gives you an excellent view of the crisp Dakota Digital
VHX gauges. The radio is a modern AM/FM/CD Pioneer unit with
Bluetooth and a flip-up screen for everything from DVDs to the
backup camera.
The freshness of the build extends to the engine bay. Those smooth
inner fender walls funnel your attention to the tidy V8 in the
middle. This is a freshly-built 383 cubic-inch stroker motor. It's
a performance build with a balanced assembly, street cam, and an
Edelbrock Performer intake. And on top is a fuel injection you
control from the cab with a FITech GO-EFI module. The Hedman
headers add even more power while contributing to the rumble of the
dual exhaust. And this has all the right supporting components,
too, including serpentine belts, Pertronix electric ignition, and
an aluminum radiator w/dual electric fans. It's a great motor, and
the total package was upgraded to take full advantage of it all.
The 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission offers a nice balance
of stout construction and overdrive comfort. Underneath is an
upgraded CPP tubular control arm front suspension, grippy Pirelli P
Zero tires, and drilled & slotted four-wheel disc brakes.
The sale comes complete with a binder of build receipts. It all
proves this is a slick truck that's an all-around awesome build.
