Vehicle Description
Rotisserie built Chevelle Malibu SS custom convertible powered by a
new big block 396ci V8 engine mated to a rebuilt 700R4 4-speed
automatic overdrive transmission featuring the original rebuilt
12-bolt 3.73 posi-traction rear end with a billet aluminum
differential cover. It includes new ceramic headers, featuring
custom built dual exhaust with an H-pipe, and finished out the back
with the factory exhaust tips. The suspension has new front and
rear coil springs, new front and rear shocks and bushings. This car
was taken down to bare metal to the frame. The frame was then
blasted and sprayed in black epoxy. It features a custom shaved
firewall. The firewall, inner fenders, and core support have been
base coated, cleared, wet sanded and buffed. The body is painted
with a PPG base coat, and high solids clear with painted stripes.
All the SS badges and fender badges have been replaced. It includes
new bumpers, and all factory stainless trim was professionally
tooled and polished to a lustrous shine. A new top, with a glass
rear window rather than plastic, new motor, new lines, and seals
have been installed. The new custom interior features custom seat
cushions and covers over a factory Strato seats with all new
buttons, locks and trim. The front and rear seat frames were
sandblasted and painted. The factory console includes the overdrive
indicator and factory horseshoe shifter. The interior also features
Dakota Digital gauges with tachometer, new dash pad, badges, knobs,
and an AM/FM Radio with auxiliary hook up for MP3/ iPOD. The
aftermarket smoked glass keeps the hot sun out, while cooling off
in this Vintage Air Generation Four setup. Fuel delivery is
provided by a new fuel tank painted silver and clear coated, new
sending unit, new fuel lines, new tank straps, and a new fuel pump.
It rides on new American Racing wheels, 17-inch front and 18-inch
rear, with new BFGoodrich radial tires.
