For Sale: 1973 Dodge Challenger in Concord, California

Real 340 Rallye Challenger! The current owner bought this car in 2005. When purchased the car was in primer and the new owner wasn't fond of the original dark gold poly so he had the car painted Hemi orange and had the original white vinyl top changed to black. Definitely more appealing. Luckily for the new owner the car was pretty rust free with the exception of a small spot behind the drivers rear wheel which was cut out and and replaced. Amazingly, even the area under the original vinyl top was rust free. Floors and trunk appear to be original and clean. New bumpers were installed.
The entire interior was redone with the exception of the small crack in the top of the dash. Legendary seat covers were used. Sony AM/FM/CD player was installed along with new speakers. All of the glass is good and the windows work properly. All of the gauges work with the exception of the clock. New carpet and headliner.
The engine is the original matching #'s 340 block with 360 heads. The heads were built by M&M cylinder heads in Hayward, Ca. They have 2.02 valves and some mild porting. The engine is 10:1 compression and runs on premium pump gas. Purple Shaft cam. Roller rockers. Hi rise intake manifold with 750 double pumper carb. MSD distributor, coil, etc. Shorty headers. Custom built radiator by Pankey's Radiator in Hayward. Flex fan. Transmission is a rebuilt 727 automatic with a mild shift kit and 2,500 stall torque converter. Brakes were gone through and the rear gears were replaced with a new 3:55 posi kit.
Runs and drives excellent with only approx. 2,000 miles on the build. High quality paint and interior show well. Sounds great. You will definitely get noticed in this one! Make sure you check out the walk-around video.
