We are pleased to offer a beautifully off-frame restored 1968
Stingray Convertible. As noted in the pictures, it sustained a
recent thorough restoration and everything appears to be new,
redone, or freshened up. Check out the exquisite paint-job in
British Racing Green, very, very nice and shinny. Under the hood
there is a fresh small block 327 engine with the "HC" suffix
indicating it may have come from a 65 Corvette. Interestingly, it
is likely that the car was born with the 327/350 L79 engine as
indicated by the Redline on Tachometer. Engine compartment looks
all new, is highly detailed and complete. Interior is all new and
correct too from the seat covers, carpet, dash, door panels,
steering wheels. Gauges and instruments work, except the clock. The
soft convertible top is white and also in great condition. Perhaps
the best part of the car is the very clean and freshly done
undercarriage, looking basically all new as seen in the pictures.
The 1968 Corvette has a special place the hearts of the enthusiast
as the first of the third generation, the Stingrays, now spelled in
one word. For some reason, it lives in the shadows of the most
desirable 69 model, even though they are pretty much identical
barring some cosmetic upgrades and of course the 350 engine... It
will be very hard to duplicate a car like this for the money, so,
the common wisdom out there is to get a car that someone done for
you... Here is a great example of a beautiful Stingray Convertible
