When it comes to off-road capability few trucks can claim a
reputation as versatile and accomplished as the K5 Blazer / Jimmy!
This 1976 GMC Jimmy takes it to the next level, with an SM465 4
Speed manual transmission and cast iron Borg Warner transfer case.
Under the hood is a 350 with long tube headers, HEI distributor,
dual electric fans, and a FiTech fuel injection system. EFI gets
rid of any carburetor problems and helps this 4 year old truck
start like a brand new vehicle! That's right, no waiting to warm
up. Just clutch, crank, and take off. Inside you will find power
front and fold/tumble rear seats out of a 2013 Tahoe that are
hooked up and work like new. A sound system with bluetooth, 2 6.5"
speakers, 2 6x9" speakers, and 2 15" subwoofers will keep you
entertained on or off road. Speaking of off road, this Jimmy sits
on 35x12.50 General Grabber tires mounted to 15x10 Pro Comp wheels
that perform great offroad and aren't noisy on the highway. They
are provided clearance with a front and reay DIY4x4 suspension kit
that provides a solid 6" of lift and 16 inches of wheel travel.
This GMC is almost complete, it's just waiting for a new owner to
choose what color to paint it - although flat black looks pretty
good with the white roof and projector headlights. Don't let this
one get away, manual K5's are almost extinct!
