Chevrolet to tout the sports car legend of the Corvette. The
introduction of the C5 Vette was a huge success and with the U.S.
economy in a boom, dealers were selling these faster than the plant
in Bowling Green could keep up. This led to significant dealer
markups which allowed the value of these to rise drastically for
the first few years of production. With 4-wheel independent
suspension to go along with speed sensitive power rack & pinion
steering, the handling of the C5 Vette was unmatched by any
affordable sports car. The track times turned in put the Corvette
in elite company when your comparables are Ferrari &
Lamborghini.
This Corvette is the perfect car for your introduction to the
Corvette hobby and certainly gives you the most bang for your buck.
1998 is also the first year for the convertible in the fifth
generation Corvette. This highly optioned car was used on average
4,000 miles per year since new. This low mileage '98 Corvette
Convertible is in excellent stock condition like the day it rolled
out of the factory. It features the original 5.7L SF1 V8 (345
horsepower) engine with the original 4-speed automatic transmission
with overdrive. Along with all of the standard options, the car
comes with adjustable sport leather bucket seats, dual zone air
conditioning, six way power passenger seat, memory package, AM/FM
stereo with CD player, body side moldings, fog lamps, color keyed
front floor mats. The car also comes with its original window
sticker. The paint is excellent and shows very well cosmetically
both inside and out.
