Vehicle Description
1955 CHEVROLET 3100 PICKUP (SECOND SERIES) T-1294 The 1955
Chevrolet 3100 Second Series or Stepside Series was the first year
for the new body style. It included a new "wrap-around" windshield,
a truck industry first and electrical system upgraded to 12 volts.
This particular Chevy is in immaculate and original styled
condition. Equipped with the original rebuilt 235ci Inline 6
Cylinder engine and upgraded 1 barrel carburetor, this truck was
restored and kept as original as possible. There is only roughly
5,000 miles on the rebuilt engine. Features the four speed manual
granny low synchromesh transmission. Recent maintenance includes:
new exhaust system with chrome tips, new radiator, new tires, new
regulator, new heater system, rebuilt generator and rebuilt starter
motor. The original AM radio has even been rebuilt and sounds
great! The exterior features a stunning Cardinal Red paint job with
all the brightwork and glass in excellent condition. A locking tool
box has been installed in the oak wood bed. The wood comprising the
bed of the truck is worn, but this eliminates the stresses of
scratching the nice wood by placing items in the bed. The interior
is painted in a nice grey color with a black vinyl bench seat. The
windows are tinted and dash is painted black to complement the seat
and gauge cluster. Original steering wheel but new door handles
window cranks and armrests have been replaced with new but original
styled parts. Various receipts and shop manual come with purchase
of the truck. If you want an original truck at the best price, this
is the truck for you! ***If you are viewing this on Facebook
