Seven Hills Motorcars is very proud to offer this low mileage 1988
Mercedes 560SL in absolutely spectacular condition. This is one of
the nicest 560SL's available on the market right now and truly an
investment grade car. The market on the 560SL is absolutely red hot
right now. Very low mileage and original examples of the R107
Mercedes SL are exceptionally difficult to find and draw a huge
premium in the current market. This 560SL is exceptionally original
with the correct VIN stickers on all of the body panels. It is an
original California version, verified by the 494 code on the data
tag.
There is copy of the AutoCheck report on this car pictured below.
It is totally clean and shows no accident history. The low original
mileage is verified not only by the condition of the car, but also
the clear Ohio title showing the mileage as "Actual."
This 560SL looks outstanding, runs great, and is and awesome
driver. It comes with both the soft-top and auxiliary hardtop. The
car has been in the dealership owner's personal collection for
almost three years. Over that time we have owned and sold dozens of
other 560SL's and this car was kept as a personal vehicle during
that because we truly think this is one of the nicest, cleanest,
and best examples we have seen. Over the past few years we have put
about 350 miles on this car. During that time it was flawlessly
reliable and always a true please to drive.
This is an excellent opportunity to own a classic Mercedes that is
ready to be used and enjoyed at an unbeatable value. One could
easily buy this car now and sell it for more than the purchase
price in years to come. The car come with service records and some
stamps in the maintenance book. Some of those maintenance stamps
are pictured below included one showing the car has had the 60,000
mile service completed. Also included with the car are the original
owner's manual, maintenance booklet, Service and Warranty
Information booklet, and the top operation book, along with two
convertible top wrenches, radio booklet, radio code card, spare
tire and rim, and jack, some service records, Mercedes First Aid
Kit, Mercedes tools, and tool roll, which are all pictured
below
This Mercedes is finished in the beautiful and desirable color
combination of triple back, Black (040) exterior over Black Leather
interior (271) with a black soft-top (740). This is the correct and
original color scheme as verified on the data tag pictured below as
well as the vehicle data card. Please peruse all of the photos,
video, and other information below to get a true sense of clean and
nice this 560SL really is.
This Mercedes is verified as "numbers matching" meaning the engine
in the car is the correct and original unit that was installed in
the factory. It is especially rare, but this 560SL has the "vehicle
data card" from the Mercedes factory, which is pictured below. It
shows the original engine number to be "117967 12 040590." We have
checked the engine and confirmed that same engine number stamped on
the left side of the engine block. All of the paint and trim codes
are also correct and match the vehicle data card and the data tag
by the radiator.
As a side note, this Mercedes is not a dealer auction vehicle. We
hand pick each car after careful inspection. Our classics come from
owners who expect their cars to go to someone that will give the
vehicle the same care and attention as they did. We invite and
encourage you to examine the car in person or have the car
inspected. Please take the time to scrutinize each picture. We
photograph each vehicle to the greatest extent so you can feel
confident about your purchase. If you have a question about the
560SL, just give us a call.
Exterior
The Black (040) exterior is in spectacular condition. As one can
see in the photos, the paint has a brilliant gloss, deep shine, and
smooth finish. Both doors open and shut nicely; it has that solid
Mercedes touch and feels like a vault door closing. The car
exhibits great body panel fit overall. We have seen no paint lines,
overspray or other signs of paintwork at all. A sticker with this
individual Mercedes VIN is present on all the body parts we
checked, the hood, trunk, both doors, both front fenders, both rear
fenders, and both the front and rear bumper. This is another
excellent sign of originally, no accident history, and no paint
work. The chrome and other bright-work look excellent with a
brilliant finish. The alloy wheels have a great finish and no curb
rash. The Continental tires are almost brand new with less than 300
miles on them and are correctly sized 205/65R15. There are no major
imperfections that have been intentionally excluded from the
photos. As with any paintjob with this many years on it there are
some very small blemishes around the car that are too tiny so show
up in the photos, but nothing that is really noticeable from about
5 feet away. As one can seen in the many photos of the underside,
this 560SL is very clean underneath. We have also included specific
photos of the rockers, lower front and rear quarter panels, and
other areas on the car most prone to rust to show how nice it
looks.
A sticker with this individual Mercedes VIN is present on all the
body parts we checked, the hood, trunk, both doors, both front
fenders, both rear fenders, and both the front and rear bumper.
This is another excellent sign of originally, no accident history,
and no paint work. We have seen no paint lines, overspray or other
signs of paintwork at all.
Interior
The Black Leather (271) interior of the 560SL looks absolutely
fantastic. The seats are in excellent condition with no tears,
rips, or split seams. The seat is not overly worn in the typical
are on the driver's bolster where the drier gets in and out. Please
note that these appear to be the original seats and skins, not some
cheap aftermarket cover or replacement. All of the gauges faces are
crisp and clean and the lenses are crystal clear. The carpet looks
terrific with no stains, rips, or holes. The original door panels
look great with no cracks or splits, and both door pulls are solid
and in tact. The convertible soft top is in excellent shape with no
rips or split seams. The dash is in great condition with no cracks,
fading, or sun damage. The Black (740) convertible soft top is in
good shape with no rips or split seams, and the rear windows are
clear with no fogginess or yellowing. This car has never been
smoked in; there is no aroma of cigarettes what so ever, obviously
no burn marks, and the factory lighter looks brand new and have
never been used.
The trunk is very clean and nicely detailed with the original spare
tire and rim, jack, and tool kit with the correct Mercedes
wrenches. Please note that the original Mercedes first-aid kit is
complete and also still with the car.
The excellent condition of this all original interior is a huge
testament to the meticulous care and attention this Mercedes has
received throughout its life.
Mechanical
This 560SL appears to be in great mechanical condition; everything
on the car works and it is ready to be enjoyed. There are some
maintenance records included with the car. As stated above I have
personally put 350 miles on this Mercedes and during that time is
the completely reliable with no problems at all. The engine starts
right away every time, idles smooth, and runs great. It is an
exceptional driver that feels nice on the road and at highway
speeds....for more information please contact the seller.
