We are a couple in our 70’s with five vehicles. The time has come to relinquish three of these nice vehicles. This Lexus SC430 is my wife’s weekend toy so, in the past two years no amount of expense has been spared in making this little beauty a solid, reliable performer. The maintenance has included: control arms and ball joints, premium shocks, both front motor mounts, transmission mount, all four oxygen sensors, both catalytic converters, yaw rate sensor, complete water pump kit, alternator, starter, transmission filter, new plugs, wheel alignment, front ABS sensors, new premium battery, AC compressor and charcoal canister. Yes this vehicle has more than 156K miles but…it’s a Lexus. The vehicle is set for another 150K. You can go invest in a different make of sports car and probably pay more for a crappy car. This vehicle has a 4.3 liter V8. It cost approximately $60,000 new and was rated to go 156 MPH.
