Vehicle Description
With its sleek look, completely custom A/C interior, and shining
small block power, you can see that someone put a ton of work into
this 1947 Chevrolet Stylemaster. So now that the hard work is done,
you have an opportunity to turn the key and have all the fun.
This Chevy occupies that interesting space that lies in between a
cruising classic coupe and all-out street machine. It looks like
the ideal immediate post-WWII gem, with its two-piece windshield
and extra large fenders that extend all the way into the doors.
There's less than 5,700 miles on the restoration, and not only did
they make the body look great, but also you get the best in
brightwork with the big grille, bumpers, rocker trim, and sleek
hood ornament. Plus, the sweeping trim line that runs the entire
length of the body further showcases the straightness of the
sheetmetal. But there's more here than an investment in the classic
elements. The whole car is covered n a glossy red that gives this a
vivid modern glow. And those upgraded American Racing Torq Thrust
wheels have a high-polish shine that draws extra attention to the
taller and wider ones in the rear.
The custom interior is vastly more comfortable than anything that
came out of the '40s. It starts with a set of tan bucket seats up
front that have creative stitching and plenty of modern bolstering
for all-day comfort. This coordinates with the rear seats, door
panels, headliner, and even the trunk to create a full uniform
package that was done with care. You also have nice upgrades like
cup holders and power windows. The dash is extremely well done as
it takes the exterior red, mixes in plenty of vintage brightwork,
and then integrates all the right upgrades. This includes an
AM/FM/CD stereo and cold-blowing R134a air conditioning. The Billet
Specialties steering wheel matches the tan and chrome themes, and
it's mounted on a tilt column to give you an excellent view of the
upgraded AutoMeter gauges.
Under the hood, the smooth color-matched firewall and all those
polished components prove this V8 is ready to show off. And when
you look beyond the shine, you'll see the substance of a 350
cubic-inch motor upgraded with a Holley four-barrel carburetor and
shorty headers that feed the rumbling dual exhaust. This tidy setup
even has an aluminum radiator with electric fan to help your V8
stay cool even if you're in traffic with the A/C pumping. The
upgraded front suspension, three-speed automatic transmission,
power steering, and power brakes w/discs up front combine for a
total package that makes it easy to enjoy this Chevy on the
streets.
Complete with build receipts, this is a bright custom that can move
family and friends around in air conditioned comfort. What more
