Lot #139-1965 Ford Fairlane 4 door Sedan. This local North Carolina
Fairlane was a true Father and Son labor-of-love project. A
complete no-rush, no-expense-spared restoration was just completed.
The exterior was refinished in its original Arcadian Blue with
coordinating interior. The boys state that it still retains all of
it's original sheet metal including floor pans, trunk pan and
rockers. The original 289 cubic inch V-8 engine was completely
rebuilt and runs flawlessly. All suspension, brakes and bearings
were rebuilt or replaced as needed. The automatic transmission and
power steering system were also disassembled, inspected and rebuilt
as needed. We are told that this car has become one of their
favorites and that the guys have made numerous road trips in this
car without problems and would not hesitate to drive it anywhere.
They admit that this car was not their first choice for a
restoration project, but when they saw it's amazing original
condition, they knew that it deserved to be on the road again. The
original wheels, hubcaps and steering wheel will go with the
sale.
