Vehicle Description
1970 MERCURY COUGAR Convertible
Why This Car Is Special
This 1970 Mercury Cougar Convertible we have at Skyway Classics is
a very nice drop top from the seventies that looks just like it did
when it left the show room floor.
Mechanical
Our Cougar is powered by the 302 cubic inch V8 Engine and backed by
a 3-speed automatic transmission. It has all the correct factory
parts like the Ford Blue air cleaner assembly, valve covers, and
motor block, Power steering, Power brakes, Air conditioning, and
sits in a clean and detailed engine compartment too.
It has a HD Ford rear end and rides on Cragar chrome SS mag wheels
as well as black wall tires and has a great sound from the dual
exhaust system.
Interior
Our Cougar has a great looking green interior with high-backed
bucket, AM/FM stereo radio, factory gauges, factory air
conditioning, wood grained dash and center console with the
three-speed automatic transmission, the floor-shift and a center
Sports Console, as well as matching door panels and green
carpet.
Exterior
Our Mercury has a green paint job that still looks great and the
convertible top sets it off nicely. It looks mean with its Hide
away head lights, Sequential tail lights, center hood extension,
and iconic grille with great trim, chrome bumpers, and badging.
Conclusion
1970 was the last year of the first generation Cougar body style
which most believe to be the most desirable body style.
The 1970 Mercury Cougar convertible we have at Skyway Classics, can
be taken to local car shows and get many awards, or just drive
around and enjoy the top down fun!
