Vehicle Description
This Beaumont custom coupe was built by GM of Canada, as the
Canadian "sister" car to the Chevelle. In 1969 there were 4,177
Beaumont custom V8 hardtop coupes built, compared to 286,000 1969
Malibu V8 hardtop coupes. The Beaumonts were a step up in trim,
with a diecast front grille, fender extensions, larger taillights
and factory-installed 1969 Pontiac GTO dash. This Ruby Red 1969
Beaumont, nicknamed "JESEZGRL," is a custom Pro-Touring build. An
award-winner at Detroit's Autorama, it's finished with BASF
products, using three coats of a dark base, four coats Burgundy
Pearl and topped with three coats of Glasurit Clear. The stance was
achieved using RideTech drop spindles, QA1 coilovers and a full
Global West suspension. The chassis was boxed and X-braced for
strength. It rides on 18-inch Budnik G10 wheels and stops via
13-inch Wilwood brakes. It's powered by a 6.0-liter V8 aluminum LS
engine, built with AFR cylinder heads, COMP camshaft and FAST
intake with a drive-by-wire throttle body. Accessories are driven
by a Holley drive system. Cooling is by a DeWitts radiator with
electric fans. It features Kooks long-tube headers and MagnaFlow
stainless-steel exhaust. The engine is backed by a TCI 4L70E
4-speed automatic transmission with Billet torque converter turning
a 12-bolt rear end with an Eaton posi-traction unit with 4.11
gears. The interior is full Pro-Touring with a modern console,
bolstered power front seats appointed in maroon and black leather,
and custom door and trim panels. The power steering rack is
connected to an Ididit tilt column and leather-wrapped steering
wheel. Monitoring the vehicle vitals is a set of custom Dakota
Digital VHX gauges, with air conditioning by Vintage Air. An
American Autowire harness supplies power. The engine starts via a
Bowler Performance Touch-N-Go keyless system. A Detroit Speed
Selecta Speed wiper kit was fitted in conjunction with power
windows. It has 3,000 miles since completion and includes GM of
Canada documentation. **TITLE IN TRANSIT** ** PREVIEW
