If you want flash and dance in an MG,this may not be for you.If you
are looking for a great driving,tight,quick 1600 MKII,keep
looking.
I have traded MGA cars for over 4 decades, when driving this example
I had to remind myself I was driving an MGA.This car is so
STRONG,so TIGHT,so QUICK,married to that great exhaust note,I
thought I was in a more expensive exotic. You got the idea-THE CAR
DRIVES GREAT!!!!
Truly, one of the finest MGA cars I have the opportunity to drive,I
am not sure why,I am just sure it does. The car is one of those cars
that just come together in every way.Strong quiet
engine,tight,quiet transmission,great braking,beautiful deep audio
note,tight front suspension.
Cold start compression readings taken 1/2/20-cylinder #1 120
lbs,#2-120 lbs,#3-120 lbs,#4-120 lbs
I believe the miles may actually be original, many, many aspects of
the car reflect the patina of an original car.No question, the
mechanics have been done. The car shows no signs of rust or rust
history but hails from a rust prone area of the country, another
characteristic that the car was a summer car with actual miles.
Review the pictures posted, note the great body panel gaps and
fit.The chrome on the front bumper is bad(original bumper),the
other chrome on the car is good. The gauges are in good condition
and function as designed.
The soft top and side curtains are in good condition.
The lines of the rare MKII cars are so smooth and unique only to
the one year production cars with tailights inset and
horizonal.This year had the largest engine,disc brakes,vinyl
covered dash, inset front grill, and by far the most fun to
drive.
If you are a "driver",not a car show prince, review the pictures of
the solid example,if the car holds interest contact Jeff Frazier at
