Corvettes (C3; 1968-1982) are among the most recognizable
automobiles in America. Developed from the Mako Shark II concept
designed by the incomparable Bill Mitchell, C3's were produced for
an unprecedented 15 years and are the cars most people picture when
they hear the name Corvette. Additionally, as new Corvettes become
more exotic, the classic long hood/short deck proportions of C3's
are attracting a new and younger following. Our vivid Red (83) 1980
Corvette is a nice example of these iconic American dream machines.
A long list of standard and optional features includes a numbers
matching 350 V8, automatic transmission, power steering, power
4-wheel disc brakes, power windows, power door locks, air
conditioning, correct red leather seating (722), tilt and
telescopic steering, cruise control, removable glass roof panels
(T-tops), rear window defogger, full instrumentation, and aluminum
wheels. Also, the audio system has been upgraded to an Alpine
stereo and the catalytic converter was removed for a better exhaust
tone (easily replaced by a competent exhaust shop). What better way
