This beautiful Porsche 356 Coupe replica was built by JPS motorsports approximately 4 years ago and has just 9800 miles on it. Finished in an amazing OEM color, Bali Blue this car is in beautiful condition inside and out and is an absolute blast to drive. In fact, the previous owner who had it for close to 3 years has owned several original 356's and said that this Replica is absolutely more fun to drive then the original. Given the fact that fuel injected, water cooled Subaru motor has close to 3 times the original horsepower it is no surprise. Add the 4 wheel disc brakes, ice cold air conditioning, modern stereo power windows etc. and you can see why this car could actually be a daily driver if you really wanted it to be. This masterpiece is hand crafted and built on a reconditioned VW Chassis and is titled as a 1974 VW. The Bali Blue color on this 356 Coupe Replica is truly stunning and the paint quality is top notch. As you will see in the pics, the color almost looks black in the shade but in the sunlight has a gorgeous navy blue tone that suits this car perfectly. When I received the car there were various rock chips and scratches as the previous owner was using the car almost daily. Rather then try to touch them up or blend the paint I decided to have the car completely repainted by a true professional. The paint and body are near flawless. Body panel fit is great and the doors shut like a new car. The builder of these cars uses a hand laid, steel reinforced, fiberglass body and most everyone who sees this car assumes it is the real deal. This car was given the Carrera styled louvered deck lid and Carrera badge. Porsche badging looks awesome and a couple of engine grille badges add to the authenticity. Chrome trim looks great. Windows are nicely tinted and front windows are power and rear windows pop out like the originals. Paint and body are basically in show condition.
Complimenting the beautiful Bali Blue exterior is an equally impressive Cork colored leather interior with super comfortable original Speedster styled seats. Sporty Nardi styled woodgrain steering wheel with Porsche emblem horn button and an awesome woodgrain shifter knob. Authentic styled gauges provide the driver with all the needed vital info. Power windows operate nicely and rear windows fold out if desired. Dark gray carpeting with nice set of Coco mats. Minor wear in the carpeting near accelerator pedal. As cool as the 356 Coupes are, what really sets this car apart is the driving experience thanks to the 2.5L Feel injected Subaru boxer motor that puts out about 190 hp that could be over 200 with the custom stainless, single exit Sport exhaust. This water cooled motor puts out almost three times the original horsepower and close to twice the horsepower that most of these have with the typical VW motors you will find. This fully reconditioned motor provides smooth, exploitable power with a great throaty sound. This car runs cool with a custom cooling system from the builder mounted under the front nose/trunk area. The Subaru motor is mated to a 3.88 Freeway flyer 4 -speed transmission that offers great highway cruising gears in addition to some fun off the line power. This Coupe handles like it is on rails with the Independent rear suspension and front stabilizer bar. Braking is a breeze with the 4 wheel disc brakes. Wide 5 wheels wrapped in Kumho rubber grip the road and the Porsche emblem hub caps look great. If preferred, the hub caps can be removed for more of an outlaw styling. This 356 Coupe replica is truly a blast to drive and while it may not be for the purists, the added horsepower from the Subaru motor really adds to the fun factor.
