Vehicle Description
The 1954 Buick Skylark Convertible was one of Harley Earl's
masterpiece designs of the '50's era. There were only 836 hand
built Skylark's that made it to the general public back in 1954.
This Skylark is No. 342 out of 836. It has spent most of it's life
garage kept in Florida. Previous owner just didn't drive it any
longer and said it's time for a new home. This Skylark was
purchased to be driven and enjoyed and not put on a shelf to be
admired only. It has 81,800 miles on the original drive train. The
exterior of the car was restored back in 2006 and still looks
great. The rust free body was refinished back to the factory color
of Arctic White and it's looks very nice. Freshly buffed it out and
the finish looks beautiful. All the chrome has been refinished and
looks near show quality. The interior, which is still mostly
original, is an area where although looking very presentable, can
use some restoration in order to bring it up to the next level. The
soft boot is in great condition and fits. It was about 34 degrees
when the pictures were taken and it wouldn't stretch for all the
snaps to fit. The glass is in very good condition except for two
small rock chips in the windshield. The window frames do show signs
of some pitting. The engine bay is clean and original but not show
condition. The trunk is very solid, but could use some new floor
and side matting. The undercarriage is very solid with no rust
through issues anywhere. It's been driven but maintained and shows
typical road dust and dirt. The complete exhaust system is fairly
new. The Kelsey Hayes wire wheels and Coker Tires are in excellent
condition including the spare. Mechanically, the power windows,
power top and power seats all operate very well. There are no oil
leaks of any kind underneath. The car runs and drives out very
well. The carburetor needs to be adjusted or cleaned out due to
sitting for a spell. Electrically, the radio and clock are
currently not working. All interior lights work along with the
instrument panel lights. All exterior lights are working as they
should. There are three large totes of spare parts, some NOS in
boxes, that will be included with the sale. All original owner's
