The NSX was designed with input from Formula 1 driver Ayrton Senna. Over 18,000 were produced with almost 9,000 of those being sold in the USA.
The only higher performance NSX produced were the 1999 Zanardi Edition cars. Only 51 were produced. It was available as hard top coupe and not a targa. 149 lbs lighter. Body color fixed roof. Lighter rear spoiler, single pane rear glass, lightweight BBS wheels and no power steering. Zanardi's have a unique Suede interior, titanium shift knob and console. Each of the 51 cars has badge between the seats showing the individual number of the car. This car is #43.
They were named after Alex Zanardi who was Honda's CART championship winning driver and one of Honda's Formula 1 drivers. The factory engineers and Zanardi lightened the car, tuned the suspension and created a faster, lighter and lower car.
Destined for sportscar immorality, these 51 Zanardi Edition cars are the cream of the NSX crop.

The car is in very original condition. With no modifications other than an upgraded exhaust. 57,000 miles from new with a clean carfax. The car comes with it's original window sticker.
t was sold new by Paragon Acura in Queens, NY. It appears that the owner of the dealership kept it for himself for several years.
The car remained in the next owner possession from 2005 until 2019.
The car has been fully serviced by Acura of Westchester.
