Vehicle Description
When you see a truck that's a true Restomod, you expect classic
look with the comfort and style of a brand-new machine, and that's
why this 1952 Chevrolet 3100 5 Window is such a great restomod.
Take a look at the performance V8, overdrive transmission,
four-wheel disc brakes, custom A/C interior, and so much more that
has been expertly integrated into this sleek custom package.
This one instantly announces its something different from the first
impression. The body has had most of the trim expertly deleted so
that nothing gets in the way of the curvaceous sheetmetal. In fact,
the fenders are fiberglass just so the ultra-smooth look can be
uninterrupted and still have those wide and modern tires. The paint
has the kind of gloss that tells you there was a nice investment
here. And it makes a striking impression as the grille, front
bumper, bezels, and running boards were painted to match and giving
this such an impactful red look. There are more great details, like
the color-matched sport mirrors, flush rear roll pan with
integrated taillights, and how those polished Torq Thrust wheels
are instantly noticeable as the only major brightwork you see. The
flush-fitting tonneau cover looks terrific over the bed, but
underneath is an even bigger show-stopper with the glossy oak
lumber. So yes, this is one thoughtful build.
The ultra-desirable five-window cab lets in more light, and so you
really get to see all the custom elements of the interior. Inside,
the exterior red returns on the dash and door tops, and now it's
joined by a tasteful two-tone cream and tan. There are to
nicely-bolstered leather bucket seats, and in-between is a center
console that includes controls for the power windows and AM/FM/CD
stereo. There's even cold-blowing R134a air conditioning to keep
everyone happy. But as you slip behind the wheel, you can really
feel that this is a driver's machine. The chrome sports steering
wheel is mounted on a tilt column, and so you get an excellent view
of the dash that's dominated by the crisp VDO gauges.
The engine bay continues the award-worthy presentation. The
color-matched smooth inner fenders and firewall funnel all your
attention to the V8 in the middle. This is a 350 cubic-inch ZZ4
crate motor. It has great performance upgrades like Fast Burn
aluminum heads, roller cam, a Holley four-barrel carburetor, an
Edelbrock hi-rise intake, upgraded pulleys, and ceramic-coated
headers that feed the rumbling dual exhaust. It's a powerful
package, but it's also mean for easy driving. For example, the
700R4 four-speed automatic transmission w/overdrive and cruise
control let you know how this one has earned its Power Tour decal.
Plus, you have an upgraded Heidts tubular A-arm independent front
suspension, Positraction rear end, power steering, and four-wheel
power disc brakes.
