In 1956 the Buick Super like we have here at Skyway Classics was
larger with vertical windshield posts, four VentiPorts per fender,
deep Sweep spear, script was found on rear quarters and within the
deck and grille emblems.
Mechanical
Our Buick Super has a 322 CI Nailhead V-8 engine painted the
correct shade of blue , an engine bay that is great, detailed, and
painted black , with all correct engine components and correct
decals.
It has the correct Carter 4-barrel carburetor and is powered to the
rear by the factory Dynaflow transmission.
Interior
The interior looks like a Buick time capsule with its
blue/white/gray Cordaveen and patterned nylon split bench front
seat and rear bench seat, foam seat cushions, a trunk light,
electric clock, directional signals, front and rear armrests,
sliding sunshades, cigarette lighter, glove compartment light, map
light, dual horns, Step-On parking brake, Red Liner speedometer and
trip mileage indicator, Power seat, Factory AM radio, Factory air
conditioning, Power window option, Buick Crest steering wheel, and
the Dashboard with machined panels and elegant dials.
Exterior
Our Buick really looks Super with its great Dover White and
Cambridge Blue year correct colors. It is a Hardtop and all the
chrome, Large and intricate grille, bumpers, and trim are
fantastic.
It rides on factory thick wire wheels with the Buick center caps
and spinners with wide whitewall period correct tires.
