For Sale: 1968 Ford Mustang in Mooresville, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

HIGHLIGHTS: Super straight and clean custom built 1968 Ford Mustang Coupe with mass appeal! Slick paint job with a vibrant interior. The professionally built 347 V8, 4-speed Toploader manual transmission, upgraded headlights, and power front disc brakes make this Mustang into something really special!

BODY OVERVIEW: The body is clean and straight, with all of the proper emblems and trim tastefully highlighted by the slick and shiny paint job. This is a fairly recent build that has the looks of a showstopper.

This is an American icon that has been customized and rebuilt into something both gorgeous and impressive. With quality up to show standards, this gorgeous burgundy Mustang is sure to turn heads anywhere it goes. This is a mild custom that has been well-maintained and lovingly enjoyed since its inception, and the crisp lines of the body are the icing on the cake.

PAINT CONDITION OVERVIEW: Borrowing a newer Ford paint named Ruby Red Metallic, this gorgeous dark red paint has an amazing amount of depth to it, and really draws attention. Painted by Auto Concepts of the Carolinas, this is a gorgeous show quality paint job. The paint is slick and glossy, giving this car a truly unique look! There is nothing about the paint on this car that would disappoint. Plus, the body underneath the paint is straight which just adds that extra show-quality effect to the paint. The proof is in the prep!

INTERIOR CONDITION OVERVIEW: When this car was customized, 1970 Mustang Mach 1 seats were chosen. Covered in patterned red cloth and trimmed with black vinyl, the seats have a unique yet classic 1970s feel to them...and that feels just right in this Mustang!

The interior is showing very minimal wear, as this is a recent build that has been driven and enjoyed primarily under ideal conditions and not used every day. Almost everything about the interior feels, looks, and maybe even smells like "new" while still retaining some period-correct styling cues.

MECHANICAL OVERVIEW: Under the hood sits a 347 cubic inch Ford V8 engine making 470HP and 393 ft-lbs of torque. That is a LOT for this little car! This Mustang has a serious sound when running, and will gladly get you moving as quickly as you'd like it to. The complete engine build was done by Prestige Motorsports, and just 1500 miles have been logged on the engine since it was completed. Paperwork detailing the engine build as well as a dyno sheet are available.

Other mechanical upgrades include sub-frame connectors, a Ford 9" rear with traction lock, 28 spline axles, a 3.5:1 gear ratio, adjustable shocks from Gabriel, MSD ignition, a McLeod clutch, and Doug's headers. This honey is more than just a pretty face!

WHAT YOU'LL LOVE ABOUT THIS CAR: Pretty much everything, especially the exhaust note and the depth of the paint color.

WHAT YOU MIGHT HATE ABOUT THIS CAR: The radio has been removed and replaced with a block-off plate. If you enjoy listening to music while rowing gears, this could be a serious bummer, but one that can be easily remedied.

DOES IT NEED ANYTHING? Not to be enjoyed today! There might be some personal preference items that you might want to address, but absolutely nothing that would stop you from cruising this gorgeous Mustang this weekend.

WHAT BUYER IS LOOKING FOR THIS CAR? Anyone looking for something unique, something that turns heads, or for the evil twin to that six-cylinder Mustang they had back in high school. Honestly, who isn't looking for this car?
