Here's an American icon in its factory-correct full midnight
package and loaded with great features. And it even has low mileage
on its original extra power L82 V8. So, this 1980 Chevrolet
Corvette is already an attractive classic, and that's before you
checked out the affordable price.
This is a one-family owned coupe averaging less than 1,200 miles
annually. So it has been treated with the proper care. The
factory-correct black was given a professional respray later in
life to help retain the full midnight altitude. These late C3 cars
are gaining a nice following as people begin to appreciate the
features like the sleeker body with sporty front air dam and
distinct rear spoiler. This full black appearance helps highlight
the touch of brightwork added on the rocker panels, window frame,
and optional aluminum wheels. So the result is a timeless look of
pure style.
Inside, the factory black interior gives this a great full blackout
inside and out. The updated bucket seats weigh less than earlier
C3s, and they fold flush with the rear trunk area for better cargo
functionality. Like any good premium Corvette of this era, it comes
loaded with power windows, power locks, tilt steering column, an
AM/FM/cassette stereo, and provisions for factory air conditioning.
Plus, the added wood-like paneling on the center console does a
nice job of breaking up the darkness while also highlighting the
full auxiliary gauge package. And you can show this full package
off to the world as you go cruising around with the T-tops out (the
family even kept the proper glass panel storage bags, so they come
with the sale.)
Dual snorkels on the air cleaner are a quick sign that this is an
L-82, and with a 22 percent jump in horsepower over the standard
motor, it was a stout performer in 1980. It fires up easily like a
well-respected family car should, and the nice V8 burble out of the
dual exhaust that never gets old. And the huge torque these small
block powerhouses are known for delivering means you're going to
enjoy getting up and off the line. A fully independent suspension
and four-wheel disc brakes make all C3 Corvettes nice for handling,
but this one is a nice car for the long trips, too. That's thanks
to features like the TH350 three-speed automatic transmission,
power steering, and cruise control.
The sale comes with a ton of original items, including the owner's
manual. It's a well-respected classic looking for its next family
to care for it. So if you love a good all-black Corvette, call
today!
