The bikes began arriving at dealers in the spring of 2002.The motorcycle's design is like those manufactured by Harley Davidson for law enforcement officers which have been available since the '80s. The company also makes motorcycles for on the job use by police and EMT's. The "Firefighter Special Edition" is designed for the consumer, not professional use. Over the years, the Firefighter Special Edition has been produced in five models and were powered by Harley's twin-cam engine. The first Firefighter Special Edition models produced were the Electra Glide Classic, Electra Glide Ultra Classic, and the Road King. In 2009, two more models were added. The Heritage Soft Tail and the Fatboy. Harley Davidson NEVER PRODUCED THE FIREFIGHTER SPECIAL EDITION IN A ROAD GLIDE MODEL.From the airbrushed "Phoenix" / "Feathers" / and "Flames" to the highly detailed Firefighter Badges to the Gold Leaf and hand painted pinstripes, this 2006 Road Glide Model is totally custom built and is truly one-of-a-kind.
