Vehicle Description
This 1972 Chevrolet 3/4-ton pickup has undergone a full frame-off
restoration. Powering the pickup is a custom-built GM 408ci
8-cylinder LQ9 LS engine with a rebuilt 4L80E 4-speed automatic
transmission. The drivetrain features a custom 2400 stall converter
and a rebuilt 2-speed NP205 transfer case. Full-length dual exhaust
was installed. The axles have been rebuilt, using all-new bearings,
seals, gears and ball joints. It includes new front and rear brake
components, and upgraded wheel lugs. The chassis was stripped and
refinished in a gloss black with all new bushings and hardware. An
8-inch Skyjacker Soft Ride lift kit was installed with matching
nitrogen-charged mono-tube shocks. A new 21-gallon fuel tank was
relocated to the rear of the frame. The exterior of the vehicle has
been refinished in a classic 2-tone featuring GM Medium Red and
Olympic White with all-new side trim, chrome handles, mirrors and a
custom grille, as well as custom-fitted 3-inch round tubular side
steps. A spray-in liner was applied on the underside of the
vehicle, the bed and on the matching toolbox. The interior has been
refinished in black with an original-style bench seat and door
panels. An upgraded cut-pile carpet kit and vinyl full-wrap
headliner were installed. The dash has been upgraded with AutoMeter
gauges, Rockford Fosgate Bluetooth stereo system and a back-up
camera. Upgraded steering components and a rebuilt tilt steering
column with Billet handles combine to provide improved drivability.
Vintage Air cools the cabin. New weather seals, window seals,
tinted glass and interior trim round out the interior. This pickup
rides on 18-inch Ultra Malko wheels wrapped in General Grabber X3
tires.
