1986 Porsche 944
One family has owned this car since new.
One brother purchased it new in 1986 and drove it daily for the first few years and then she was set as the weekend car. A few years later he purchased a Boxster S and the 944 got set aside... He called his brother and said, "Hey, you always wanted the red 944, come and get it!" Well, he did. That was about 15 years ago.
The car has 154,000 miles on it.. yes, you read that correctly. However, please don't let that scare you. This car has been babied from the very first day, receiving all of it's regular services.
Roughly 20,000 miles ago the car was repainted, the front seats were reupholstered in original fabric/leather and the entire top end of the engine was rebuilt/renewed and a new clutch and exhaust were installed. This brother has driven her about 15,000 miles and in that time he had the chip reflashed for more HP, installed a K&N cold air intake, new muffler, struts and shocks, brakes and had the headlights adjusted. He also added the turbo rear lower valence, the 911 wheels, Sony stereo and a new sunroof motor.
This car is stunning and runs and drives as well as she looks. There are only a handful of small chips in the paint that have been touched up.
The hood release lever works to pull but needs to be replaced with anew unit into it's regular position.
The standard features of this car are the 2.5L 4 cylinder, 5 speed manual transmission, India Red paint, power seats, power disc brakes F&R, cruise control, power/removable sun roof, power mirrors, power windows, intermittent wipers, full gauge set, fold down rear seat, electric rear hatch release, rear defrost and A/C.
There is nothing to keep anyone from fully enjoying this car for years to come. Ready to turn the key and drive away, whether its to the next town over or across the country.
The price to get into this spectacular red Porsche 944 is $10,200.
Any questions, to make an offer, for many more photos and video or to schedule a time to see her in person, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thank you for the interest.
The Pick of the Day is a well-preserved, low-mileage example
Pick of the Day was protected from Idaho winters
Strange as it may sound today, there was a time when the Porsche company feared that the days were numbered for its rear-engine sports cars.
While browsing the many cars for sale on ClassicCars.com, I decided the Pick of the Day should be a Porsche.
With news of the Porsche Speedster “barn-find” buzzing throughout the office, I couldn’t help but feature a Porsche as my pick of the day. I set out to find the perfect Porsche on ClassicCars.com.
