This 1966 Chevrolet Impala SS 396 4-speed has been through a
documented restoration with pictures, notes, and receipts. this car
includes an IV code 325 hp 396 engine, Muncie 4-speed transmission,
12 Bolt Rear End (believed to be DD Code), power steering, tilt
steering - ididit system, beautiful wood steering wheel, power disk
/ drum brakes. in-dash tachometer, optional on-dash clock, center
console, bucket seats, seat belts, retro looking AM/FM/aux stereo,
floor mats, jack, spare tire and trunk mat, rear adjustable air
shock absorbers, new steering, new front and rear suspension,
Muncie 4-speed professionally rebuilt, 12 Bolt rear end
professionally rebuilt, new modern brake system, previous owner
(builder) told the current owner he had over $40,000 invested plus
his years of labor. The current owner purchased this car from the
elderly gentleman who restored the car. According to his
restoration documents, the restoration period was approximately
2007 to 2010. After restoration was complete, he drove it some,
stored it inside his climate controlled building, and started
another project. The body was disassembled, some new metal, painted
and reassembled. New interior. Five larger folders of pics, notes
and receipts. It appears as though the rear end was rebuilt, the
Muncie transmission was rebuilt, new rear suspension, new front
suspension, new steering components, and the brakes were upgraded
to a dual reservoir disk (front) drum (rear) system. The center
console was shipped off to a third party for professional
restoration. The car has new adjustable air shocks in the rear so
you can set your preferred ride height. The car starts, runs and
drives very nice, windows all roll up and down easily, door locks
work correctly, gas gauge, speedometer, tachometer, oil pressure
gauge, water temperature gauge and volt gauge work correctly, all
the interior courtesy lights and trunk courtesy lights work
correctly, headlights, tail lights, brake lights and turn signal
lights.
