Vehicle Description
This is a very nice limited production 1955 first series Chevy 3100
half ton pickup. This early series 1955 was like the 1954 body
style prior to GM coming out with the second series 1955 as a
complete body change in mid-year of 1955. Not many of these trucks
around since they were a limited production truck of less than a
full year. Nothing seems to warm the hearts of serious truck
collectors as much as the fat fender Chevy trucks from 1948 thru
the first series 1955 trucks. These style trucks have enjoyed a
very steady increase in popularity and value for 30+ years now thus
demanding a premium dollar at classic cars auctions stateside as
well as in the foreign markets. This rare truck has many nice
modern enhancements such as 5-speed overdrive transmission giving
that extra gear for higher cruising speeds while keeping the stock
classic and original appearance. Also it was converted to a modern
and reliable 12 volt electrical system with H.E.I. distributor for
cruising long distances in confidence and reliability for today's
modern highways. These enhancements are fully described later in
this add, so we encourage you to read the full description
carefully to understand the full scope of the many nice upgrades,
parts and labor offered with this unusual classic truck. When this
truck shows up at the gas pump or a car show, it becomes a strong
magnet to people of all ages. The comment most often heard is: '
Oh, how cute!! I love these old Chevy trucks, and the color is
beautiful as well'. The following is a list of what has been done
to make this truck what it is today. The current owner has a clear
Oklahoma title in hand. The exterior of this truck includes new
driver quality paint and body work, new original turquoise base
coat clear coat paint, all new green tinted glass in cab and doors
with new rubber seals, new felt, new window channels, door weather
strips, windlace, new door handles inside and outside, new exterior
chrome rear view mirror, new radial tires
