Vehicle Description
STK 2688 1968 Chevrolet El Camino
This 1968 Chevrolet El Camino was the first year of the third
generation El Camino. It has always been a North Carolina car -
originally purchased from Pennington Chevrolet, Mocksville, NC. The
restored (2009) El Camino is powered by what appears to be the
factory 307ci small-block 2-barrel engine that produces 200bhp. (A
307 is a 283 block with 327 crank.) It is backed by a 2-speed
PowerGlide automatic transmission. The Burgundy Red respray is in
very good condition and is accented by 15x8 GM rally wheels
w/centers/rings that mount nice BFG Radial T/A tires. A distinctive
black vinyl interior was also carefully redone - bench seat, dash,
door cards and headliner are all in very good condition. Upgrades
include cold A/C, tinted windows and an AM/FM stereo system. The
original steering wheel was replaced with a 'Z-28' style 3-spoke
wheel. Suspension features include power steering and power
disc/drum brakes with dual master cylinder. This handsome Bowtie
belongs in your garage. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
