-- SALE PENDING -- By 1995, the Ford Special Vehicle Team and its products were an unqualified success, so to further develop the Ford performance brand, all SVT models now wore special SVT exterior badging. This was the final year for the Mustang’s venerable 5.0-liter V8 engine, long the preferred choice of Ford performance enthusiasts, and it was mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. Coupe versions of the Cobra were offered in black, red and white. To enhance the exclusivity of the Cobra convertible, which was available only in black with a Saddle interior, a removable hardtop option was offered. As the one and only year of the convertible hardtop experiment, with only 499 of the 1,003 droptops built leaving the factory with the optional hardtop, those cars are considered by some collectors to be among the most desirable SVT Cobras ever made.
Showing just over 9,800 actual miles, this one-owner and very rare Cobra Hardtop Convertible shows a clean CARFAX history from new. Included for the next owner is the Original Bill of Sale, Mustang Hardtop Carrier and Cover Kit Instruction sheet, the actual original registration receipt, with two sets of keys and remotes. To confirm its rarity and splendid condition, an independent appraisal from January 2018 was completed. Having never seen inclement weather during its lifetime, the car appears in fantastic condition, along with the hardtop, carrier and cover. This is your answer to a very rare up and coming ’90s-era muscle car!
