For Sale: 1976 GMC 1500 in Morgantown, Pennsylvania

1976 GMC 1500 Pickup

Officially named the "Rounded-Line" trucks by GM, the 1973-1987 Chevy C/K trucks were known more casually as the "box-body" or "square-body" pickup. Sporting a new body style that incorporated rounded corners around the wheel well in addition to a rounded windshield and door frames, the third-generation Chevy C/K trucks had an entirely new look. Larger and wider, the pickups looked more box-like, which is why they were coined the "box-body" trucks.

For consignment a C10 1500 in heavily used condition with some surface rust, invasive rust, and trim rust on the exterior and a nice clean interior. Sporting over 100K miles and will need some TLC. A project truck.

Exterior
With invasive rust through on several exterior panels, and rockers, a well-used bed with holes in it, and some surface rust on chrome trim, this truck comes to us in burgundy and white. Original GMC wheels are all around.

Interior
Presenting nicely, a tear free bench seat covered in red vinyl, original dash which is clean, and red carpet covering the floors. A full-length rubber floor mat is on top of the carpet.

Drivetrain
A 350ci V8 topped with a single 4-barrel carburetor and a TH350 3-speed automatic powering a 12-bolt rear. The engine bay is original and shows plenty of surface rust on the engine block, air cleaner, and corrosion on various other parts.

Undercarriage
Plenty of surface rust, and invasive rust are hindering the structural integrity of this truck. A close look at the undercarriage photos, and you will have a better idea of actual condition.

Drive-Ability
This truck runs, shifts smoothly, and started quickly. Due to the fragile condition of the undercarriage we did not put it through its paces.

As noted, a project truck in very poor condition, will need work to be road worthy.
