1984 saw the launch of a replacement for the successful SC series, and a revival of the Carrera name.The new more powerful 3.2 liter alloy engine gave the 911 a more usable torque-curve, and with the upgrade to Getrag's G-50 transaxle starting in 1987, the 911 was as fully developed as ever. The 3.2 Carrera was the last iteration of the original 911 series, and many Porsche enthusiasts consider these the best driving 911s of all.
This lovely and well maintained 911 Carrera Cabriolet is a numbers matching car with original engine and G-50 transmission. It is an exceptionally well sorted car and has been driven by the staff here at Black Horse over 300 miles in the last 30 days in a variety of conditions. It has lots of factory goodies including cruise control, power windows and upgraded sound system with USB port for charging of wireless devices. With the car comes a file of receipts showing major recent service. The engine is tight as a drum and the car exhibits all of the characteristics one would expect from a wonderfully maintained and reliable air cooled 911.
Overall the car presents beautifully with nearly perfect paint and beautiful interior. The only serious blemish is a small crack at the center of the dash pad. The odometer shows over 116,000 miles and the condition of the car clearly indicates that these miles were pampered and with full attention to service intervals. A full file of service receipts accompanies the car. This Porsche has all of its original ownership books and tools as well as jack and spare.
