For Sale: 1970 Dodge Challenger in Olalla, Washington

Vehicle Description

1970 Dodge Challenger T/A clone. Best mopar color: Sublime. Fun upgrades here and there. No real issues, just time to get another toy.

Non-numbers matching car, but is an original “L” code car (383 big block.) No fender tag. All matching VIN numbers: Door, dash, cowl, and radiator support. Sublime green exterior. Black interior. Bored and stroked 451 V-8 motor w/ OD automatic trans. Bucket seats w/ console and Slapstick shifter (yes the Slapstick works the OD trans). Power steering w/ power disc brakes, good tires.

Original steel car. No replacement body, floor, or trunk panels. There is no indication that this car has ever been in an accident, damaged or “seriously” rusted. Paint quality and condition is not perfect “mint” – but is very, very good. No major scratches. No dings or dents. It is believed there was work done – i.e. steel welded – behind both rear wheel wells at the very bottom. Car is very straight with decent panel alignment. Floor is original and rust free. Glass is good, all chrome and trim is very nice.

Car has ‘Cuda seats in great condition (added a racing seat to help hold the driver in the seat since the car handles decent with the suspension/brake upgrades), Dash pad is an original in good condition but has some marks/blemishes, no serious cracks. Door panels, trim and center console are good condition. Headliner has been replaced. Dome light not installed. Car has aftermarket gauges: Tach, water temp, oil temp, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel pressure. Lights, horn, and wipers all work fine. There is no radio. (Note: This was an original A/C car (not installed now.) The defroster works but vacuum is not connected to switch “heat” on. Also, a heat control valve is not installed. The heat is controlled with a manual valve under the hood.)

Professionally built, bored and stroked 400 CID (451 CID.) Approx 500 horsepower / 480 ft lbs torque (on 92 pump gas.) 9.4 to 1 compression. Mopar Performance Purple Shaft cam (.509/292). Keith Black Hypereutectic pistons. Steel 440 crankshaft. Hemi oil pan and pump (block machined for ½” pick up). Compression balanced and blueprinted. 904 heads ported and polished w/ stainless valves. Hemi valve springs. Hooker Comp headers (1+7/8 dia). Edlebrock RPM Performer dual-plane intake manifold. Brad Urban modified 925 cfm Holley carb (vacuum secondary) no choke. MSD ignition. E3 spark plugs. High-torque mini starter. Flow Kooler water pump. Zero leaks, no smoke, no cooling issues, uses no oil.

Keisler/Silversport A41 4 speed electronic OD transmission, New driveshaft. Trans cooler, 3500 stall converter (lockup is disabled). Paperwork included. This 0.70 overdrive transmission made the biggest difference in driving this car!

Professionally built 742 Sure-grip differential (Dana PowerLok). Richmond 3.91 gears. Suspension rebuilt w/ new bushings, tie-rods, ball joints, and shocks. New front and rear sway bars. Super Stock rear springs from Mancini Racing. “Firm Feel” power steering box. Power disc brakes/master cylinder upgraded. Synthetic brake fluid.

Serious inquires only please. No joy rides.
