GM icon started life as an already powerful 1SS Camaro coupe, but
thanks to SLP Performance Parts, this car has been put on steroids
and produces more power and torque. An awesome list of SLP parts
make this Camaro stand out from the rest. If you're like us, and
enjoy having a unique car, this is one to consider. Being car
number 31 of only 250 built, chances are you won't run into another
one on the street. In addition, it's not everyday that you find one
of these special cars for sale in awesome condition like this one.
This car is original, and has not been in any accidents. Take a
good look at our photos of this car and you will find a photo of
the SLP Window Sticker specific to this car. You will see that the
'Standard' parts list is a good sized list and the price for those
'Standard' parts is $22,995. On top of the $34,795 price seen on
the original window sticker of the SS Camaro itself. The 'Optional'
SLP parts list consists of 8 other parts, of which this car has 3
installed. (SLP Grille Insert, Heritage Style SS Badges and Hockey
Stick Stripes.) Of course the big power adder is the 2300 series
Supercharger that is strapped to the top of the 6.2L V8. Cold air
intake, and a PowerFlo Exhaust system, also help in the power
adding department. SLP Springs on all 4 corners help bring the car
a little closer to the tarmac and lend a hand with handling the
curves. The exterior of the car looks to be pretty standard at
first glance, although SLP have changed a few things there too with
tasteful parts. A 'RTM' hood was installed that has a 'fascia close
out panel' or in simpler terms, a functional hood scoop. A rear
spoiler was also added, along with stripes and 'ZL575' badging. 20
5 spoke red line wheels are another unique ZL575 only option and
wrapped in sticky Pirelli P-Zero tires, the car gets a fair amount
of grip given the 575 horsepower and pavement grinding 550 lb/ft of
torque. At the hands of SLP, the already nice SS interior has seen
a few cosmetic changes as well. Just in case you have forgotten who
made the performance changes to this awesome car or what you are
driving, 'ZL575' badging has been placed in a number of places
inside along with a numbered plaque and embroidered floor mats. If
you give into the temptation of mashing the gas pedal once in the
car and on the road you find very quickly what this thing is
capable of. A distinct supercharger whine accompanied by chirping
tires are the first consequences of punching the gas pedal,
followed by being thrown back into the seat. A blurred and intense
3.8 seconds go by before the needle sweeps past 60, and a quarter
mile can be reached in about 12 seconds at a speed of about 120mph.
This is a serious machine, with a plethora of nice parts installed
on it. Many 5th generation Camaros are out there but only a few are
ZL575's. This special car has always been garage kept and is now
ready for a new home. Be sure to check out all the photos and video
