This 1968 Mustang GT Fastback is a true depiction of its class. Originally a highland green (code R) with the 2G coded Ivy Gold interior with a J code 302 and the 3.25 G code limited slip rear diff, as seen in the deluxe Marti Report. Over the years this car has seen a transformation to a Presidential Blue exterior and a black with blue trim interior. Several suttle upgrades have been completed over the last two years to improve reliability and driveability. Stopping power has been improved by adding front Willwood Dynalite brakes with 12.19" vented rotors, new dual reservoir master cylinder, all new rear drums, shoes and hardware including wheel cylinders and axle seals and bearings.
To improve the ride and handling new control arms, tie rods, strut rod bushings, Summit Racing coil over kit with helical springs and a fresh alignment.
For added ease of starting and reliability a new MSD distributor with a new MSD blaster coil, 8MM Mopac spark plug wires and new plugs, and a 100 amp alternator, ceramic coated headers, new fuel pump, lines, pick-up and sending unit.
The 1976 302 has been completely gone through, resealed, new double roller chain and gears, Edelbrock stainless water pump, all new hoses and thermostat.
Well on its way to an exciting restomod with a little TLC and finishing this Mustang could be a great little cruiser.
