This 1990 Lancia Thema 8.32 is one of 3,971 Themas built between 1986 and 1992 with a Ferrari-based 3.0-liter V8 engine. This example Based on the Type Four platform jointly developed by Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Lancia, and Saab, the Thema 8.32 featured a power-actuated rear spoiler, full-leather interior, ZF Servotronic variable-assist power steering, anti-lock brakes, and a 5-speed manual transmission. Recent work included draining the fuel tank and replacing the fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, battery, spark plugs, engine oil, and oil filter.
The car is finished in Quartz Gray with gold pinstriping. Features include a twin-outlet exhaust system and 8.32 badging on the trunk, side skirts, and grille. Corrosion is pictured on the trunk lid near the electrically-actuated spoiler, and paint wear and fading is pictured throughout the car.
The 5-spoke 15×6″ wheels are fitted with older tires which show dry rotting, and new tires will be mounted by the selling dealer prior to delivery to the new owner.
The cabin is upholstered in brown leather with a leather-wrapped dash, door panels, and an Alcantara headliner. The car is also equipped with brown carpets and fitted black floor mats. Equipment includes power seats, locks, and windows, as well as a factory Technics stereo system. The automatic climate control is not currently functional, and the dash leather has separated around the instrument panel.
The car retains metric instrumentation, including a 280-km/h speedometer, a 9k-rpm tachometer, and an array of auxiliary gauges. The fuel gauge is not functional. 110k kilometers (~68k miles) are shown on the 6-digit mechanical odometer, about 150 of which were added by the seller.
Power is provided by a Ferrari-derived 3.0L V8 which was partially assembled by Ducati. This variant of the engine had a cross-plane crankshaft and a different firing order to its Ferrari counterparts, and is paired with a 5-speed manual transaxle. Recent work included draining the fuel tank, replacing the fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, battery, spark plugs, engine oil, and oil filter.
Like the Fiat Croma and Alfa Romeo 164, the Thema features four-wheel independent suspension. An additional photo of the underside is provided in the gallery below.
