STK 2681 1966 Ford Galaxie 500
Our beautiful 1966 Galaxie 500 hardtop shows only 21,000 odometer
miles on the odometer and that number is stated to be actual. The
Galaxie is all-original except for one recent re-spray of original
Red. The factory red cloth/vinyl interior is in stunning condition
and is equipped with air conditioning and AM radio. Performance is
certainly not a problem. There is an icon under the hood - the
venerable 352/4V FE series engine (X-code). This motor was a
mainstay in the Ford line for many, many years. With 4-barrel
carburetor, the '66 version produced 250bhp and 352lb/ft of torque.
This matching-number engine appears to be totally original and we
were told that it has never been rebuilt. A new OEM radiator and
all belts/hoses have been installed. It is backed by Ford's 3-speed
Cruise-O-Matic transmission. The handling of this full-size sedan
is tasked to a factory suspension design that incorporates a
strengthened frame, power steering, coil-springs on all four
wheels, twin rear control arms and a NASCAR-inspired panhard bar -
very advanced for its time. Brakes are manual 4-wheel drum units.
The car is fitted with original 15" steel wheels, stunning factory
Galaxie 500 wheel covers and new radial whitewall tires. There are
very, very few Galaxies around like this original classic. It
belongs in your Blue Oval collection. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS
