Vehicle Description
From our collection. This Concourse quality time capsule 1995
Porsche 968 Cabriolet shows just over 24k miles and is one of 306
Cabriolets produced for the North American market in the final
production year. The car is finished in Guards Red over a full
black leather interior, and power is provided by a 3.0L inline-four
paired with a 6-speed manual trans axle. Equipment includes a power
fabric top, 17? Cup 2 wheels, eight-way power seats, automatic
speed control, an Alpine head unit, and more. Delivered new at
Porsche of Willoughby, Ohio, the car was acquired three years ago
by the previous seller, who added approximately 350 miles. A timing
belt service was completed 1k miles ago in 2015, and recent work
included an oil change, fuel level sending unit, four new tires,
and pre-purchase inspection and A/C service. This 968 Cabriolet is
now offered with factory books and manuals, accessories, service
records from 1998 to present, a clean Car fax report, and a clean
Georgia title in the seller's name. The car is finished in Guards
Red (L80K) accented with a black power-operated soft top, for which
the seller has provided a demonstration video that can be seen
below. Paint meter readings show between 1 and 5 mils, and the
Carfax is perfect and does not indicate any prior accidents or
other damage. The 17? Porsche Cup 2 wheels wear BFGoodrich g-Force
Sport COMP-2 tires that show 2015 date codes. Brembo brakes with
four-piston calipers were standard equipment on the 968 in 1995.
The black full leather interior features eight-way power seats,
windows, and locks as well as an airbag steering wheel, air
conditioning, and cruise control. An Alpine CD head unit has
replaced the factory Becker CD-1, and 968-branded black floor mats
have been added. Factory instrumentation includes a 180-mph
speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,500-rpm red line, and gauges for
coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and voltage. Just
over 24k miles are shown on the 6-digit odometer. The
naturally-aspirated 3.0L M44/43 inline-four developed 236
horsepower and 225 lb-ft of torque when new. Power is sent rearward
through a 6-speed manual trans axle. The seller reports the timing
belt service was last completed in November 2015 at 23k miles. The
oil and filter were changed in July 2019, and a pre-purchase
inspection carried out by Champion Porsche in Pompano Beach,
Florida can be seen in the gallery below. An aftermarket catalytic
converter is fitted along with a modified exhaust hanger, and
additional photos of the under body and suspension are viewable
below. The option code sticker decodes as follows: L80K - Guards
