Vehicle Description
This is the kind of truck you get to enjoy today and watch the
admiration rapidly appreciate. After all, this 1993 Ford F-150 XLT
is a loaded 4x4 pickup that has fuel-injected V8 power that's ready
to get to work. And this example has the crisp look of a
well-respected truck that everyone appreciates.
Here's an interesting dilemma. We saw plenty of these F-150s on the
road a quarter century ago. The tough-guy square styling really
resonated with pickup people, and Ford sold plenty. The problem is
these F-150s were workhorses, and that's often reflected in the
condition today. However, this truck is the one diamond in the
rough. It has a great original factory application of Oxford White,
and its deep gloss and shine tell you it has led good life. The XLT
trim package added a pleasing amount of brightwork to the truck,
and there's even golden pinstripe that highlights the crisp
full-length crease as well as the overall straightness of the body.
All of it remains in very good condition, from the 15-inch polished
wheels, to the big chrome bumpers, to the brushed stainless steel
tailgate insert. Plus, the side steps, bedrails, and full bed liner
means this one can do much more than the weekend chores and still
look great. Plus, the trailer hitch will also make this the coolest
vehicle everywhere from the boat ramp to the campsite.
Inside is Ford's upscale XLT interior in a tasteful Mocha brown.
The textured insert of the high-back seats look great. There's even
a fold-down center armrest so you can decide if you want to carry
two friends, or have a more individual level of comfort. Regardless
of how many people are inside, this is quite a luxurious
experience. Power windows, power locks, tilt steering column, and a
factory AM/FM/cassette stereo are features you don't find on many
vintage pickups today. Plus, you have long-haul comfort features
like cruise control and power lumbar adjustments. The air
conditioning is blowing nice and cold from modern R134a, but we
really know your favorite breezes will be the ones created when you
open the side vent windows and slide the rear glass. It's all part
of the vintage truck experience.
Under the hood is a 5.0-liter V8. This fuel-injected powerhouse is
believed to be original to the truck, and the condition of the
engine bay instantly tells you this has been well-maintained. There
have even been more recent investments, like a new ABS computer,
thermostat, and water pump. It fires up like a proper fuel-injected
motor should, and the modern management system means it can
straddle the line between power and economy depending on your
habits. The same goes for the four-speed automatic transmission
with highway-friendly overdrive. A modern 4x4 also means automatic
locking front hubs for easy traction on-demand. Plus, with power
steering, power brakes w/discs up front, and modern Yokohama tires,
it's quite a comfortable cruiser.
The sale comes complete with the original window sticker, owner's
manual packet, and maintenance records. It all proves to you this
is a modern classic truck that has been treated with the respect
you're looking for. So don't miss this deal, call today!
