1972 Chevy K10 ½ ton 8 foot long bed 4x4. Complete ground up restoration done in the mid to late 2000s. Every nut and bolt has been touched on this vehicle. Has an antique plate which could be transferable in Pennsylvania. Has only been driven about 3000 miles since restoration, has done more sitting in the heated garage than driving. Over 50k invested. Only thing wrong is there is a small rear main seal leak, most likely from sitting too much, also has a few stone chip touch ups. Includes top of the line OER cover.
Started with a near rust free body and all OEM original sheet metal was used. 10k professional paint job using base coat clear coat to original bronze metallic color every piece hand wet sanded and buffed. All exterior chrome was new reproduction; door handles, bumpers, grille, etc. Aftermarket custom rear sliding window. Bed floor has the spray on bedliner with all stainless steel bed carriage bolts.
Interior was all brand new; carpet, seat cover, door panels, dash pad, etc. interior is also the custom option, which includes the fancy door panels and seat cover, stainless dash knobs and pedal trim. I also had a special one of a kind custom set of deluxe seat belts made with the rare factory shoulder harnesses. Also has a factory tach dash with original vacuum gauge which is also a rare option. Has a basic cassette radio with Pioneer deck speakers under the seat.
Engine is a 412ci small block chevy. (400 bored .040 over). Professional built with Dart II iron heads, ported and polished. List of parts include; Chevy Pink 350 rods, eagle crank, comp cams 4x4 cam, comp cams stainless roller rockers, edelbrock performer RPM intake, holley 750 vac sec carb, aluminum water pump, holley fuel pump, all braided fuel lines, aluminum pullies, rattler balancer, tci flex plate, urethane engine and transfer case mounts. Exhaust is Hedman Hustler ceramic coated headers with ball socket collectors and 2 ½ inch custom bent to the rear with flowmaster series 3 mufflers. This is a great body to do an LS swap which is my plan if I cant sell it.
Transmission is a professional built for 4x4 turbo hydro 350 3 speed automatic. This shifts quick but can barely be felt, B&M 2400 rpm stall converter, B&M quick stick floor shifter. External trans cooler with all braided lines. Transfer case is an NP 205 which has been gone over and works perfectly with a Denny’s custom rear driveshaft.
Suspension is a Rough Country 4 inch lift with springs, no spacer blocks. Rough Country dual front steering stabilizer, and Rough Country gold irridated shocks. Complete stainless steel fuel and brake line kits with braided hoses at the wheels. Mickey Thompson Baja Claw 33 x 12.5 x 15 tires on MT classic aluminum wheels. Rear end is a 12 bolt 6 lug with complete rebuild with new parts including new auburn positive traction differential with 4:11 gears. Front rear is a Dana 44 6 lug with stock open carrier with 4:11 gears, but total rebuild with warn lock out hubs.
My plan for this truck if I didnt sell it was to do an LS swap to it. I have a 2004 suburban donor vehicle with a perfect running 5.3 ls with perfect working transmission. I will include the vehicle if buyer is interested. Most of the donor vehicle has been parted out but still runs to move around.
