The 1985 FJ40 is truly a unicorn. These are very hard to come by in this condition. The vehicle underwent a restoration a few years back. Nevada Title is clear. 4.2L 2F engine is clean, paint is high-quality and newer, runs strong and shifts accurate. Original cloth and vinyl upholstery in good condition. It just underwent $5000 worth of maintenance last month. New shocks, new tie rods, new front disk brakes and rear drum brakes, new brake cylinders and full brake service, front knuckles completely rebuilt, new front axle seal with new fluid, completely rebuilt front and rear differentials, completely rebuilt rear driveline, and all new u-joints. I have paperwork. Brand new floor mats in front and back with underside insulation mats. New wiper blades and air filter. Recent oil change and coolant flush. New front and rear rubber cone bumpers. Brand new racing seat belts installed in front. I have four matching seatbelts that can be installed in the back as well. New oil. Brand new Dakota digital gauge cluster. These are top of the line gauge clusters that cost $800 and another $2,000 for the install. 4 x 4 works flawlessly. Starts right up and idles smooth. It cruises fine at highway speeds. I just don’t have the time to work on it any more.
