Vehicle Description

1939 GMC truck AC302 (1.5Ton)  Flatbed pickup truck for sale.  New complete and meticulous nut and bolt frame off restoration to all original specs on a numbers matching GMC.  Original 228 engine with period correct licensed Fenton headers and the original 4 spd transmission with PTO.  6 volt positive ground system converted to a 12V neg ground for safety.  Starter is 6V and loves the 12V input.  Original refurbished gauges and horn remain 6V via step-down/reducer. Converted wiper from vacuum to electrical for better operation. Professionally painted to original color code (Apple Green) and Black fenders with brown interior trim and seats.  Dash is also based on original paint code and specifications.  Restoration included many NOS and all USA made correct parts (e.g. Shackles and pins were new old stock still in the box from the store where they sat on the shelf in Texas for nearly 70 years). Flat bed was built to original specs using White Oak and stained dark as original.  Finished restoration end of September 2019 and motor is still in break-in phase with about 2 hours of run time (less than a mile on road).  Truck did not come with a heater, but has the original engine hand crank and correct turn signals/flashers as offered by dealers. I have a Clean/Clear title for this beautiful green machine that spent almost all of its life on a farm in Texas.  Copies of receipts (i.e. Kanter Auto, Jim Carter Truck parts, The Filling Station Parts, etc.) during restoration will go to buyer and will be include in the binder of photos covering the beginning to end of this restoration. Price is negotiable.
