Vehicle Description
1972 FORD F-250 CAMPER SPECIAL SPORT CUSTOM T-1290 ***AN
APPOINTMENT IS NEEDED TO SEE THIS VEHICLE IN PERSON*** This rugged
1972 Ford F-250 Camper Special pickup gets things right where it
matters: a nice-sounding 360ci V8 engine and usability that even
goes beyond the enhanced heavy-duty practicality of an F-250. With
vintage pickups being red-hot right now, this is a great way to
look cool while getting your work done. Looking at the door tag,
you'll see this truck is wearing correct code-R Sequoia Brown
Metallic. The F-250 came standard with the longer wheelbase, and
larger eight-foot long bed, so when it's time to get to work, this
truck is up for doing more. Also speaking of work, we're sure you
noticed the Camper Special badges. This adds features such as a
beefier suspension, extra wiring harness, rear sliding window,
extra cooling capability, and dual fuel tanks. The larger Western
mirrors have been replaced with standard mirrors for a better look.
A custom paint matched Gaylord tonneau cover has been installed,
which conceals the bed lined truck bed. This is not only a Camper
Special, but also a Sport Custom, which means this is one loaded
pickup that came with one of Ford's best truck interiors. Wide
enough for three across seating, the cab is surprisingly spacious.
Door panels have the premium padded Pastel Parchment vinyl that
match the rest of the interior, and have an armrest for long haul
comfort. The simple but easy-to-read gauges are arrayed ahead of
the driver, and seem to be in original condition, as well as the
factory steering wheel. It has been updated with a modern radio and
speaker system, including a subwoofer. External switches for
electric fuel pump, electric fan, and bumper mounted fog lights
have been installed under the dash. This pickup it starts easily,
and has a nice exhaust note. Power steering, front disc brakes
(rear drums), and the automatic transmission are nice additions to
help make any task easier. Yes, we've been mentioning a lot about
work, but there's another way to look at this. Thanks to this
F-250's 8,100 lbs GVWR and beefy Dana 60 rear end (running 4.10
gears) it can haul like a modern pickup. ***AN APPOINTMENT IS
