Vehicle Description
What an awesome way to steal the show when rolling up to a car
event or haul your Hot Rod, Classic Car or Vintage Race Car. During
the restoration of this very unique 1969 Dodge D100, the owner
wanted an authentic appearing truck as a way to transport his race
car to events. Starting as an original and solid Dodge D100, the
transformation began. After all, the vintage truck market is
heating up with the mainstream Chevys and Fords, but when was the
last time you saw a 1969 Dodge D100 pickup with this much wow
factor? With a period-correct restoration that features a
bulletproof straight-six motor, a nice red finish, and a
comfortable interior, this is the pickup that can easily steal the
show for far less than others paid for their run-of-the-mill
pickups. Sporting Dodges "Super 225" Slant 6 engine, the
performance and torque may still surprise you, even today. The A435
4 speed manual 'Granny Gear" transmission with stump pulling shifts
easily and the torquey "Super 225" pulls it around with the kind of
enthusiasm you'd expect from a D100 truck. Mechanically this car is
very sound, the brakes, steering and transmission all function as
they are supposed to. While this truck has great features like the
off white bumpers and factory wheel covers, we think the added
decals (which can be rmoved) gives this one some extra distinction.
But as nice as this total presentation is for showing off, don't be
afraid to use this D100 for true truck duty. After all, this has
the added utility of the longer bed model, and it has been covered
with a liner to protect it from all your chores. Plus, you even
have a Drawtite 75038 Frame mount 7500lb GTW with cold forged 2
5/16 ball on the rear step bumper with super bright LED concealed
back-up lights. The engine bay is tidy for the originality and
shows signs of routine maintenance, but no major modifications have
been done which suggests its always been treated well. As for the
interior, this truck came with a uniform option:
